Bonnie Doon
Bonnie Doon is a small town situated in North East Victoria on the edge of Lake Eildon and is the Gateway to The HIGH COUNTRY. It is most well known these days as a holiday/weekend destination for waterskiiers, fisherman and boat enthusiasts.
During Snow season its wide range of budget priced accommodation is a natural choice for skiers, bushwalkers and off road 4wd enthusiasts.Motor cycle and car clubs base their weekend rallies around Lake Eildon and the King Valley at Bonnie Doon.
It has a small population, but in holiday periods the population swells to several times its normal size. There are three caravan/camping parks ,including The Lakeside Tourist Park, in and around the town, The Bonnie Doon Motor Inn and one hotel which is situated on the waters edge. The Starglen Lodge and Robyns Nest Cottages offer superior B&B accommodation. A number of Wineries are located within 20km
