Bonnie Doon
Bonnie Doon is a small town situated in North East Victoria on the edge of Lake Eildon and is the Gateway to The HIGH COUNTRY. It is most well known these days as a holiday/weekend destination for waterskiiers, fisherman and boat enthusiasts.
During Snow season its wide range of budget priced accommodation is a natural choice for skiers, bushwalkers and off road 4wd enthusiasts.Motor cycle and car clubs base their weekend rallies around Lake Eildon and the King Valley at Bonnie Doon.
It has a small population, but in holiday periods the population swells to several times its normal size. There are three caravan/camping parks ,including The Lakeside Tourist Park, in and around the town, The Bonnie Doon Motor Inn and one hotel which is situated on the waters edge.
